A New Era of Partnerships

On April 22, 2009, Secretary Clinton, told the Global Philanthropy Forum that “the State Department is opening its doors to a new generation of public-private partnerships."  The Global Partnership Initiative (GPI) leads the Secretary of State's endeavors to include a "greater cooperation among a greater number of actors and reducing competition, tilting the balance away from a multi-polar world and toward a multi-partner world."

GPI works to address the administration's strategic priorities by acting as a platform that:

  • Convenes: Bring together people to work on issues of common interest
  • Catalyzes: Launch new projects, seek new solutions, provide vital training and technical assistance to spark project development
  • Collaborates: Strives to maximize impact of partnerships to best serve people in need

Scaling Collaboration and Innovation

As GPI's West Coast representation, Cazneau works to develop and implement innovative collaboration strategies for strategic programs and initiatives.  We focus on increasing GPI's ability to work with private corporations, investors, foundations, philanthropies and entrepreneurs on the West Coast and globally.
