LAUNCH

Founded by NASA, USAID, the US Department of State and NIKE, LAUNCH is a unique initiative to identify, showcase and support innovative approaches to global sustainability challenges.  Inspired by NASA's mission to "leave intact for future generations our Earth's unique ability to sustain life," the LAUNCH platform leverages cross-sector collaboration to accelerate the next generation of sustainability innovations.

Hosted on the periphery of the United States' remaining Space Shuttle launches, the LAUNCH program is designed as an open collaboration and innovation program, leveraging the collective expertise, networks and influence of partners to accelerate and scale disruptive approaches in sustainability.

LAUNCH:Health

LAUNCH:Health brought together 10 innovators with transformative innovations in preventative healthcare, nutrition and food, and physical activity.   The program leveraged the expertise of the LAUNCH:Health Council (a high profile group of experts from government, industry, investment, academia and media) to identify resources in support of the 10 innovations, aiming to significantly accelerate their time to market and the impact of their innovations.

Following the LAUNCH:Health Forum, innovators participate in an Accelerator program which identifies and allocates resources to support the innovators in the development or deployment of their technology.

Cazneau brought LAUNCH to life in partnership with Second Muse and Big Idea Group.

*LAUNCH:Health, the second LAUNCH Forum, was held October 30-November 1, 2010 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
